L.A. Times Studios is proud to present Breakwater Productions' "The Beauty President," a short documentary film from executive producer Lena Waithe and director Whitney Skauge. The film explores Terence Alan Smith's historic campaign to become the first queer, Black drag-queen President of the United States, running as Joan Jett Blakk on the Queer Nation Party Ticket in 1992.
