Join the ceremony as we dish out awards to Capcom's Greatest Fighting Games. Which legendary brawler will nab the Lifetime Achievement Award and who will walk home with the Impossible Port Award? You'll find the answers in the next issue of Retro Gamer and get to hear from the community members that are keeping these great Capcom brawlers alive.
Other things to look out for in issue 269 include two excellent Making Of Articles. One looks at Magnetron, Steve Turner's ambitious sequel to Quazatron, while the other is Titus The Fox, which has its origins in The Blues Brothers videogame, as well as a popular party tune.
In terms of Ultimate Guides we have two for you this month. The first examines Yu Suzuki's fantastic arcade racer Hang-On, while the second revisits Cannon Fodder, Sensible Software's brilliant satirical take on war.
We also have two great longform interviews for you. Wil Overton discusses his career in magazines and how it led to working at Rare, while Stuart Whyte looks back at his days at Bullfrog and Lionhead and working with Peter Molyneux on various projects.
This month also sees us examining the growing digital pinball scene, which is being dominated by Zen Studios, as well as the creatives at Visual Pinball, a fan project that aims at restoring long-lost tables for current gamers to enjoy. We also revisit the many great games of Psygnosis with its art manager Jeff Bramfitt, who shares anecdotes on everything from Shadow Of The Beast to WipEout.
There are plenty of smaller features in this issue as well, including Out Run, ROB: Robotic Operating Buddy, Zoop, Nifty Lifty, Budget Games, Ranger X, Homebrew, WonderSwan Color, Batsugun and Parking Garage Rally Circuit. Make sure you don't miss it.
