South Gate men targeted casino winners in more than a dozen highway robberies, feds say Two Southgate men allegedly scouted out casino winners in Los Angeles County, ambushed them on the highway and robbed them, according to a federal indictment unsealed Friday. They allegedly robbed and attempted to rob people leaving casinos on at least 15 occasions, stealing over $274,600 in cash, casino chips and other property, according to the indictment. Read more
