Movies Update: Robert Pattinson fights Robert Pattinson

Plus, looking back at the Oscars
Movies Update

Hey, movie fans!

Hope you enjoyed the Academy Awards this year, though you probably didn't as much as the filmmaker Sean Baker did. The writer-director-editor took home four Oscars for his sex worker dramedy "Anora," including best picture. Its star, Mikey Madison, also won best actress. (Sorry, Demi.) And while Baker would prefer you see the film in a theater (I'd recommend that, too), it is available to stream, along with most of the other winners of the night. If you didn't catch up with our coverage of the red carpet, the ceremony's best and worst moments, all of the winners and our analysis of the big night, you still have time.

And although we're post-Oscars, there's a new movie from the director of a previous best picture winner: The "Parasite" filmmaker Bong Joon Ho is back with a sci-fi comedy, "Mickey 17," starring Robert Pattinson as an expendable clone. It's a Critic's Pick. In her review, the chief film critic Manohla Dargis praised the director, writing, "Few filmmakers can shift moods and tones as smoothly as Bong, or have such a commensurately supple way with genre." Read a profile of Bong and, once you've seen his film, check out a few other movies that handle clones in intriguing ways.

You have plenty of other new movie options this week. On Netflix, there's a Charles Manson documentary from Errol Morris (a Critic's Pick), and, on Amazon Prime Video, a rom-com starring Simone Ashley from "Bridgerton." And in theaters, a languid but lovely baseball comedy, a French "Star Wars" parody and more.

Happy viewing.
