But his cuts are imperiling the city's landslide response In September 2024, a campaigning Donald Trump visited his nearby Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes to say that government needed to do more to help residents in the slide area. Now, the Trump administration announced that it will cease funding the FEMA's Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities grants — a major pot of money the city hoped to use to finance a long-term prevention and stabilization plan.
