Union leader faces federal charge of conspiracy to impede an officer during L.A. ICE raids Service Employees International Union California President David Huerta is set to make his initial appearance in federal court Monday. He is facing a felony charge of conspiracy to impede an officer. Huerta was detained and injured while documenting a workplace immigration raid in downtown L.A. on Friday. He was treated at a hospital and transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center. Read more
